Calgary is famous for the Stampede, a wholesome rodeo spectacle of cowboy hats, pancakes, and line dancing, but Alberta’s extreme metal scene has long been ignored. Thousands of diehard fans want a festival that feels as big, loud, and authentic as Europe’s Wacken or Hellfest, not another bar show or country singalong. ALL RAGE is the answer: a two-night Halloween apocalypse headlined by Cannibal Corpse and Mayhem at the Stampede Grounds.
The brand identity flips Calgary’s identity on its head, replacing bulls with blood, rodeo posters with ritual sigils, and cowboy chants with blast beats. Every design element, from posters and tickets to guerrilla stunts like the Ice Cream Truck of Death, reinforces the theme “Louder Than a Stampede.” The result is a rebellious new tradition: Alberta’s first true extreme metal pilgrimage.
This hand-lettered logo is born from black and death metal’s tradition of unreadable brutality, fused with the razor-sharp geometry of Art Deco. It is a fiery, violent wordmark that isn’t meant to be friendly or easy to read. If you can’t decipher it, good! It was never made for posers anyway.
